Curtains are checked for fabric, lining, shrinkage risk and fixing type. Some can be cleaned in place using low-moisture or steam methods, while others are best taken down for off-site cleaning. Sheers, velvet and lined drapes each call for different handling, and care labels are followed where they exist. Heading tape, hooks and pleats are checked for wear before anything is removed.
Sun-faded fabric, rotted lining and permanent stains cannot be reversed by cleaning, and some delicate curtains may shrink or lose shape if washed. Taking down and rehanging depends on safe access and the type of rail or track, and we will confirm what is practical before booking. Please tell us about ceiling height and rail type so we can plan the right equipment.
