Kitchen & Bathroom Renovation
Repair and update existing kitchen cabinets with new doors, hardware and finishes instead of replacing the whole kitchen.
Overview
Cabinet refurbishment keeps the carcasses you already have and renews what shows: doors, drawer fronts, hinges, handles and finish. It sits between a surface wrap and a full kitchen replacement. It suits kitchens whose structure is sound but whose appearance or hardware has worn out.
The work starts by inspecting each unit for swelling, loose hinges, sagging shelves and damaged edges. Repairable faults are corrected first, because any new finish will only be as good as the surface beneath it. Doors or drawer fronts that cannot be saved may be replaced while the remaining carcasses are kept.
Refurbishment differs from wrapping in that it can address physical faults, not just the look. If the cabinets are intact and you only want a new colour, cabinet wrapping may be quicker. If hinges fail, boards have blown or drawers no longer run properly, refurbishment treats the cause. In humid kitchens, moisture-damaged boards sometimes cannot be saved, and we will say so.
Results depend on the existing material, the extent of wear around the sink and cooker, and the finish you choose. A clear scope is agreed after inspection so you know which units are repaired, which parts are replaced and which finish is applied. Any hidden damage found once doors are removed is explained before the scope changes.
Final scope is confirmed in your written quotation after assessment.

Yes. Replacing hardware is a common part of refurbishment and makes a visible difference to the finished kitchen.
