Kitchen & Bathroom Renovation
Waterproofing for bathrooms, kitchens, balconies and wet areas in Dubai, applied beneath new finishes to help prevent leaks and damp.
Overview
Waterproofing is the hidden layer that decides whether a wet area lasts or leaks. It is applied to prepared surfaces before tiling, and it matters most in bathrooms, shower areas, balconies and laundry rooms. WrapRevive treats it as a core part of renovation planning rather than an optional extra.
The process starts with preparing the substrate: removing loose material, repairing cracks and making sure surfaces are clean and sufficiently dry. A waterproofing system suited to the location is then applied, with special care at corners, wall-to-floor junctions, drains and pipe penetrations, which are the usual points of failure. Curing time is respected before tiling begins.
Waterproofing is not a surface coating you can add to a leaking room and expect to solve everything. Active leaks from pipework, for example, need plumbing repair first. Where existing tiles remain in place, options are limited, so waterproofing is usually most effective during bathroom renovation or shower area renovation when surfaces are already open.
Performance depends on the condition of the substrate, workmanship at the junctions and drains, and whether curing and any required testing are carried out properly. Because results rely on the whole assembly, the scope and any testing are agreed with you in the written quotation. Any areas where waterproofing cannot be applied properly are flagged to you during the assessment.
Final scope is confirmed in your written quotation after assessment.

Only if the leak is through the surface. A leaking pipe or failed drain must be repaired first.
Testing may be recommended for wet areas, and whether it is included is stated in the scope.
It depends on the system used and conditions on site. We confirm the curing time before tiling begins.
Where work affects shared structure or neighbouring units, building management may have requirements. You should check with them, and we can advise on the information typically needed.
