Kitchen & Bathroom Renovation
Restore worn kitchen surfaces such as doors, worktops and panels to renew their look without a full kitchen replacement.
Overview
Kitchen surface restoration renews the look of existing surfaces that have dulled, stained or scuffed through daily use. It sits at the light end of the renovation range, below refurbishment and replacement. It suits kitchens where the structure is sound and the aim is a cleaner, fresher finish.
We start by identifying what each surface is made of and what is wrong with it: grease build-up, fading, light scratches, peeling edges or stains. Cleaning, repair and re-finishing are chosen to suit the material. A visit is needed because the right method for laminate differs from that for timber or painted boards.
Restoration has limits. Deep burns, swelling and cracks cannot be removed by surface treatment, and in those cases kitchen worktop renovation or cabinet refurbishment is more appropriate. Where a colour or style change is wanted rather than repair, kitchen wrapping is often the neater option. We say plainly which route fits your surfaces.
Outcomes depend on the original material, how long damage has been present and heat or moisture exposure near the hob and sink. We confirm what can and cannot be improved in writing, so expectations are realistic before work starts. Cleaning products used in the kitchen afterwards also affect how long a restored finish keeps its look.
Final scope is confirmed in your written quotation after assessment.

FAQ
Restoration renews the surface, while refurbishment also repairs or replaces parts such as doors and hinges. We recommend one or the other after seeing the kitchen.
Light stains often respond, but deep burns and swelling usually cannot be removed. We tell you what is realistic during the visit.
If you want a new colour or pattern, wrapping may be neater than restoring. If you want the original look back, restoration may suit better.
Parts of it will be affected during the work, which we try to plan sensibly. Details are agreed in advance.
That depends on the material, how you use the kitchen and how it is maintained. We do not promise a fixed period, but we can advise on care.
