Room Partition

Typical room partitions split a large bedroom, create a study or add a children's room within a family home. The key questions are where light, ventilation and AC reach, how the door will swing and where sockets and switches belong on each side. Poor planning can leave one side stuffy or dark, so we think this through first.

A partition is not always the best solution. In small rooms it can create two uncomfortably tight spaces, and in apartments with a single AC unit airflow may be inadequate on one side. Where a lighter divide is enough, alternatives such as sliding panels or shelving may be worth considering, and we will say so if we think so.

Rental properties and managed buildings often restrict permanent alterations.
