Luxury Wallpaper

Premium wallcoverings are often less forgiving than standard paper. Metallic finishes, silk-effect weaves, grasscloth-style textures and hand-finished designs can show every ripple in the wall, every uneven join and every trace of adhesive. For that reason the wall is prepared to a higher standard, and in some cases lined first so the surface reads perfectly flat under raking light.

Hanging is slower and more deliberate. Large-repeat patterns are planned across the whole wall before the first cut, so key motifs land in sensible positions around windows, doors and furniture. Some luxury papers need specific adhesives or paste-the-wall methods, and edges can be delicate, so handling and trimming follow the manufacturer's guidance for the chosen product.

The result depends heavily on lighting, wall condition and the product itself. We will talk through where the paper will sit, how sunlight and spotlights will treat the sheen, and whether a particular material suits a high-traffic or humid area. If a design is better suited to a protected feature wall than a whole room, we will say so.
